I know the importance of having Islamic choices for our youth, however we must abide by the Laws taught by the Messenger Muhammad (sallAllahu alayhe wa sallam)...and that means not drawing figures. The scholars have appropriately reviewed all of the evidence, and the avoidance of drawing the face is simply not sufficient. You should read the discussions about the matter of tasweer (image making). this will clarify the subject for you.

Jazakum Allahu kharian.
Assalaam-u-alaikum.
DeleteJazak Allahu Khairun katheerun for taking the time out and touching upon such an important matter.
You are correct that picture making is one of the worst of sins and should be avoided at all cost.
However, based on Qur'an and sunnah, scholars have also provided guidelines for what constitutes a problematic image/picture and what does not. The following fatawa by Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen and others shed some light upon this:

ii. http://www.islamqa.com/en/ref/97444/drawing%20pictures

I hope this helps.
Jazak Allahu Khairun again.
Wassalaam.
